.As a continuation of the first Forum that was held in Beijing last October, this year the “China Hotel Project Rebuilding forum was held in Shanghai on March 30, 2010, Taking advantage of Shanghai World Expo, the forum focused on the relevant factors in green hotel buildings and provided a communication platform for new established hotels and hotel investors.
As the highlights of the forum, leading industry associations, hotel management groups, media representatives were invited to the on-site to participate in the discussion of “Hotel Low-carbon Age”. Mr Xu Jinzhi, Vice President of China Tourism and Hotel Industry Association firstly gave his view. He said” To ensure a sustainable development of green hotels was an important mission for all industry and for people under the current hotel developing condition. Whether in the early stages of programming or in the hotel articles procurement, to keep the low-carbon is always the most important. Mr Guo Yongshuang, Executive Director of Utensils Chamber of Commerce of All-China of Industry and Commerce said, “as the representative of hotel suppliers, I agree on the developing of green hotel, and low-carbon and environment protection will be the new trend of hotel supplies industry”. Mr Qiu Yongqiang, General Secretary of Shanghai Tourism Trade Association Hotel Industry introduced the overall situation and related data of Shanghai green hotel developing. Mr Ouyang Mingsen, Deputy General Manager of Hotel Management Group – Jin Jiang Hotel Articles Co., Ltd. and Ms Chen Guangyu from Spain Fusai Hotel Group shared their experience of green hotel. Mr Yang Ligang, General Manager of HC360 raised his views on green hotel. The guests presentation reached the agreement that energy saving and emission reduction should be considered as national strategy and the objective of the whole industry. The government, associations, hotel owners, design companies, inspection departments, management groups, suppliers and media should cooperate with each other and take the responsibility to achieve this goal.
In addition, the hotel transformation of the hotel project involved a number of areas, FAAC, Hansgrohe, NVC, Siemens, Karcher, Guangzhou New Yuehai Western Kitchen Equipment Factory, PCFC, Zeidler and other enterprise representatives gave the speeches concerning the bath water saving, green rooms, waste management, energy management, hotel design, and introduced the green hotel management , application, planning and design, and described how to achieve low-carbon production mode via hotel energy.
The Third Forum on “China Hotel Project Rebuilding” will be staged in Beijing in August at Hotelex Beijing 2010.
