British Tea Time held successfully during Hotelex

Organizer: Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo Int’l Exhibition Co., Ltd., New Western Cuisine – U.K.

From 29 March to 31 March, the British Tea Time was held during Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment & Supply Exhibition. More than 150 staff from famous hotels and food-beverage companies in Shanghai attended the event.

The event ran smoothly for three days and the guest conductors were: Chen Jintai who owned two restaurant brand HOF and Guwu, senior kitchen consultant Zhang Fangmeng from Maoyu company together with Head Cook of Bakery Lisa Crowe in Peninsula Hotel, they shared their knowledge of tea with the audience while preparing cups of delicious British Tea., Zhang Fangmeng brought his favorite and special British Keemun black tea which was steeped and concentrated with fresh milk. It is said to be an ancient way to make milk tea, and its taste was very fragrant, thick and smooth. All the guests had a taste without any hesitation.

Afternoon tea was one of the catering methods during the 17th century and has become a leisure habit of modern people. With the improvement of living standards, more and more people take afternoon tea as a way of daily life and gathering among friends. The purpose of the expo is to advance the consumption of the tea. Therefore, we sincerely hope that more people will share and discuss its cultural origin and development trend in the future, and love the England afternoon tea through ceremonies and other activities.
