The SCA Away-from-home China team has recently launched the Tork Chinese website www.tork.cn. “This new site will provide a great platform for us to market and promote Tork to potential Chinese distributors and customers. It will also help to strengthen the relationships with existing ones,” explains Phillip Jessup, Commercial Director, AFH Asia.
This website has adopted a structure similar to Tork’s international website offering valuable information on product and services, news and events, customer service, environmental etc. With this new addition, Tork’s now has a total of 29 country websites in their respective native language.
Tork was launched in China in November 2006 and the Chinese brand name for Tork is Duo Kang, which literally translates as “more health”.
Since its launch, Tork - Duo Kang has made much progress into the Chinese market. A recent success was the installation of Tork’s dispenser in over 20 food & beverage outlets at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, currently the world's sixth busiest airport.
The team sees great business opportunities for Tork in the immediate future. “With both the Beijing Olympics and Shanghai Expo just around the corner, there is an increased focus on quality assurance within China's tourism and F&B industry, especially with regards to hygiene and food safety issues,”says Daniel Qiu, Marketing Manager, SCA Hygiene North Asia - AFH Asia.
