Conferences and Networking Program of Expo Build & Expo Deco 2010
The annual show, Expo Build & Expo Deco will be launched at Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from 29th, March to 1st, April, 2010. During these days, design festival will be held in order to enrich the on site atmosphere and service more target exhibitors and visitors.
“Build the future, design for living” is the main subject for Design Festival. It will maintain its special characters and still be held at Hall W3 to raise the fifth innovative international design show, such as, W3 “closed-door” principal to VIP guests, a wide range of forums and topics, cutting-edge displaying area for fashion products, authoritative professional awards and selection. All of show activities and arrangements are intent to showcase “design inspires life, design changes life” to all attendance before World Expo Shanghai 2010 opens.
“Green” is the world concept that more and more manufactures or suppliers of building materials are focus on it. Expo Build is the show which pays the attention to these sorts of sustainable and ecological development trends. During the show time, several green conferences and awards will be involved, such as, “The New Tendency of Real Estate 2010 – Zero Carbon in China”, “Renovation to Build Up Green Hotel Forum”, “New Technologies for Sustainable Building from Australia Queensland Government” & “Ecospecifier Green Building Awards”.
Meanwhile, The Architecture and Design Conference will be organized by RFP, Wood Conference is presented by China Wood, and some worldwide showcases, e.g., UK City Introduction – Olympic Games London 2012 & sustainable city developments presented by London City collective booth by UBM, UK, the show exhibitor - FAAC for security related issues & innovative door systems are launched in order to give more GREEN interaction with on site audience.
Innovation that likes the enduring soul, endows infinite vitality to the Design Festival. In 2010, the festival will be first-launched “W3 World Design Awards of Sanitary Ware” which is organized by relative association, design institutions and international mainstream media. It is the outstanding indicator for innovation – show all of designers’ creative works related with ceramics and tile. Its purpose is spreading “China is China” culture, building up more-depth international influence of ceramics industry and displaying original and fashionable products in order to reject plagiarism and imitation for the future of ceramics. In addition, “German Lifestyle and Experience Zone” will show its first presentation on site that gathers global leading western-style sanitary ware products from German famous enterprises and manufacturers. Meanwhile, another novel displaying area – “Golden Bund Awards Display Area” will be launched the third edition that focus on latest building design theme. All invited VIP guests are offered to experience this incredible Design Festival, have interactive communication with famous designers & product suppliers and share the latest designing concept of ceramics, tile and sanitary ware.
Other welcomed and unique activities will be initiated at the same period, e.g., “International Designers Forum”, “Hotel Design Forum”, “Latest Interior Design Trend Release” and “Golden Bund Interior Design Ceremony”. “Villa & High End Real Estate Forum” is a new-themed forum to monitor current commercial surroundings of real estate and reward those excellent real estate developers. Especially, the organizer will invite the world-renowned designers as VIP speakers on “International Designers Forum”, such as, Bill Dunster (World Expo Shanghai 2010, U.K. Pavilion Designer), STEFANO BOERI (World Expo Milan 2015, General Consultant for Architect Design) to discuss how to design the valuable architects for different countries and image possible future living tendency with audience.
The fifth edition Design Festival will become an eye-catching, special and high quality platform that gathers worldwide newest products and creative design. It takes the design idea into the real practice as well as reflects more cultural connotations. It is brainstorming between designers and relative industries, e.g., architects, hotel & real estate developers, building materials suppliers.
Design Festival 2010 will be concurrently held with Expo Build 2010 and Ceramics, Tile and Sanitary Ware China 2010 and Expo Deco 2010. Building materials are reinforced and steel-framed, but design makes them viable and splendid. Three shows combined together will to bring out unlimited possibilities and subtle relations between design and building materials. Green & sustainable building issues will be discussed and are highlighted with a green logo.

Attendance: all overseas participants can have one treasure map when they attend the show. It will tell them how to visit the hall W4 and experience the most wonderful moment on site. When participants get the 12 stamps from 12 booths according to the treasure map, then they will get the special gift. Meanwhile, they can go to hall W5 to get another new gift.

The W3 World Design Awards of Sanitary Ware will be organized by the China Building Ceramics & Sanitary Ware Association, Interior Design Magazine, Shanghai Expobuild International Exhibition Co., Ltd, ABITARE, TILE and KBB. The invited guests for attending this event is included relative industrial enterprises, architect & interior designers and design institutions. The purpose of this event is to improve the international reputation of ceramics, tile and sanitary ware, spread ceramics design and culture in high level and foster branding products that represents China. The whole event will have four awards – three individual awards, one comprehensive award through initial accreditation, re-examining and final round.
● Golden Bund Awards – “Oscar” award of China interior design industry

Golden Bund Awards is “Oscar” award in China building & interior design industry. It is the largest grand meeting for China International Building & Interior Design Festival 2010.
