China (Shanghai) International Boat Show Celebrates 15th Year.

The CIBS continues to grow in every way imaginable. More exhibitors, more boats, more ancillary products and more variety and more visitors pre-registered (up by over 35%)

This year CIBS is once again a multi-location experience with the main show area Nanjing Road, downtown Shanghai, an on the water show at the Shanghai Yacht Club on the Huangpu River and a small boat Charity Regatta supporting Autism care in Shanghai at the Shanghai Water Sports Center along with 2 days of a try a boat experience at the same site. This makes the China International Boat Show in Shanghai the most experiential boat how in China, perhaps even in Asia.

Domestic builders including Double Happiness, Hangsheng, Sunbird and Nauticstar are exhibiting alongside returning international names like Ferretti, Sunseeker, Princess, Beneteau and Brunswick.

New yacht exhibitors include the likes of Dongchang Yachts from Taiwan, Evolution Yachts from Australia and Cantieri Navali Reali of Italy.

The Italian Connection is increased in breadth, the Australians have committed to an exchange program and after a short absence the people from the Land of the Long White Cloud, New Zealand are back.

Choisi Yacht interior design is showing in China for the first time and Senhuan Wooden Marine displaying their new range of teak products are just two of the multitude of ancillary products companies appearing at the show.

400 plus exhibitors, 50% builders; 40% equipment and parts and nearly 10% related lifestyle companies, in other words a comprehensive boat show.

New media partners in CBN Weekly and The Hurun Report promise wider and more complete coverage of the show, especially to China’s ‘rich list’ than ever before.

All aspects of boating in China are indisputably growing and no other venue or event showcases marine leisure products to such numbers of potential buyers as the ‘Shanghai Show’.

Such is the growth rate, vision and ambition of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show that next year the show (2011) will cross the river to none other than this year’s World Expo site

The China (Shanghai) International Boat Show, the show the others would like to be.
