Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal) and APLF will both be celebrating their respective 25th anniversaries.
Veterans in the leather-footwear sector, both parties will take commemorative actions to celebrate their anniversaries during APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MM&T) and Fashion Access (FA) which will be held from 31 March to 2 April 2009 in Hong Kong.
As one of the main Brazilian partners of APLF, Assintecal, with the support of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Agency), will take three important shoe components companies Chronos, Seta andTanac to the events. They will also have a special exhibition called Inspirations Forum for the summer 2010, where the latest trends on components will be shown.
The trend will be presented by the coordinator of that research, designer Walter Rodrigues, and held on the first day of the APLF events. The presentation promises to highlight the Brazilian products on the international scene.
The participation of the components companies at APLF is strategic and strengthens the exchange between Brazil and the international market, opening new business opportunities for the leather-footwear companies.
The results from APLF 2008 showed that the fair generated business transactions amounted over US$2.2 million. For this year, the Brazilian trade association estimates that APLF will generate over US$1.6 million during the 12 months following the event.
According to the Vice President of Assintecal’s Foreign Market Department, Mr Evandro Kunst, Assintecal has undertaken several actions to promote and strengthen relations between Brazil and China. Such actions have increased the projection of business deals between the Brazilian components industries and the Chinese market. “These actions extend the network of contacts, strategic information, and partnerships, which eventually facilitate integration and bilateral trade", Mr Kunst said.
