Best of APLF Award Winners Chosen

 

FASHION ACCESS- the most international trade fair in Asia for fashion accessories which includes handbags, footwear, travelware, leather garments and lifestyle products was held on 2 to 4 October 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  As usual, the Best of APLF Awards were presented at a ceremony on the second day of the fair.          Eight Fashion Access exhibitors were chosen for their excellence in design, quality and innovation. Awards were given for the following categories: Bag Collection, Man's Footwear Collection, Lady's Footwear Collection, Small Leathergoods, Travelware, Ecological Product, Marketing & Promotion, and Stand Design.   For Best Bag Collection, the award was given to Cabot (Asia) Ltd of Hong Kong for their Cocomojo collection. The line was cited for the originality of the bag shapes, high quality workmanship, interesting mix of materials and unusual sophisticated details. Aldo Raparo of Italy was presented with the award for Best Man's Footwear Collection. The Aldo Raparo shoe line was chosen for bringing together classical styles, innovative materials, and interesting details to their innovative line of men's dress shoes and sportive shoes. The award for Best Lady's Footwear Collectionwent to Biondini of Brazil for their fashionable line of ladies' shoes that was described by the judges as elegant, light and ultra-feminine. Their collection of casual summer sandals and their high-heeled evening line was described as pure sensuality, with a delicacy of line and shape that is truly eye-catching. The Best Small Leathergoods Collection was given to the Capro Guanti gloves collection of Yorks (Shanghai) Trading Co Ltd from China. This collection succeeds in giving new shape and form to leather gloves. They are simple and modern, beautifully constructed, using high quality materials. They are curiously classic with an edgy streak. Tai Wing Luggage Limited of Hong Kong took the award for Best Travelware Collection. Their winning luggage line, Diamant Noir, utilises new technologies and materials to create lightweight travelware that is practical, functional and user-friendly. Adjudged as having the Best Marketing & Promotion Concept, Far East Access Ltd of Hong Kong, took the award for the coherence of their marketing materials with their exciting Couture Bee footwear collection. Theirs is a total brand concept that makes use of visually stimulating promotional collateral to enhance their product presentations. The Best Ecological Product award went to S.C. Vizcarra Inc from the Philippines. A staunch advocate of fair trade, S.C. Vizcarra actively promotes traditional crafts and the use of recycled and natural, sustainable materials in the production of their beautiful hand woven bag collection. The Zu&Lu display of Asindo China Network Ltd of Hong Kong was the judges' choice for Best Stand Design. It was cited for the harmony between their display concept and the uniqueness of their travelware, while maintaining a clean, uncluttered, elegant ambience.   All the winners left happily with their beautiful APLF winners' trophies.
