There was a singularly striking booth in Hall 5 at Fashion Access. It was the size of three or four normal booths and the décor included 10 ft. pictures of glamorous girl models. The size of the booth was appropriate because it represented three companies, one French, one Korean and one Chinese, who all sell the same line of Elite bags: sponsored by the famous Elite model agency of New York.
Also on display were high fashion hand and travel bags, many with silver or gold leather and ornamented with metal trimmings.
The companies exhibiting were New Caro of Paris, Spring Power of China and Belmont of Korea. All of them are selling the bags in their own countries with great success. The bags are designed mainly by a talented Korean designer and made in factories in China. Harim Yang, foreign sales manager of the Korean company Belmont said he believed Korean creativity had contributed a great deal to the success of the bags since their main designer is Korean. |
This was the first time they had exhibited at Fashion Access and executives of the three companies said they were very pleased with the result and that they had been contacted by buyers from many countries.
