Italian Footwear Manufacturers return to Fashion Access in a National Pavilion

Italian manufacturers will show their latest footwear collections in the Italian pavilion organised by the Italian Trade Commission (I.C.E). The pavilion will be located in Fashion Avenue, the sector of Fashion Access where the accent is on branded products, in the Convention Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

All exhibitors in the Italian pavilion are members of ANCI, Italy's footwear business association, whose chairman, Vito Artioli, in a recent article in the International Herald Tribune, referred to the upbeat mood of the Italian footwear industry today:

"Many footwear firms have suffered in recent years, but the industry as a whole is now managing to find its way back again, especially by rethinking the business model." "We realized that Italian companies had to reposition themselves," Artioli said. "They needed to diversify, become more international in their outlook and focus on a higher segment of the market."
