FASHION and QUALITY - The Key to Survival in Difficult Times

Italian and Spanish tanners will be strongly represented at APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MM&T), March 31 – April 2, 2008. Over 80 Italian companies will exhibit under the umbrella of the Italian Tanning Association (UNIC) and the Italian Accessories & Components Association (UNAC). The leather produced in both countries is generally accepted as being among the very best available anywhere.

Fifteen of the top Spanish tanners will be present, and with some 300 sq. m. of exhibition space available they will show their latest creations – many of which have recently been winners at Cibeles - The Madrid Fashion Week.

Spanish tanners take pride in the exceptional quality of their Merino and Entrefino leathers which are created by artisans with a millenary tradition: skills that cannot be imitated or copied. Products on display will include anilines, nappa, nubuck, fantasy, laser or printed, glace kid, suede, double face, box calf, metallic finishes, embroidered leathers... a list that should appeal to many manufacturers and designers throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Italian tanners have a similar belief and maintain that despite economic 'ups and downs' quality production and innovative design will remain in demand.
