All exhibition space at September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair 2012 sold out
The world’s number one jewellery event has the highest participation of key players in the world’s jewellery trade with over 3,500 exhibitors from 46 countries and regions at this year’s edition

UBM Asia Ltd, organiser of the September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair (September Fair), announces that all exhibition space at the Fair’s two world-class venues -- the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition (HKCEC) -- are sold out.

The world’s biggest fine jewellery event, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, will take place from 19 to 23 September at AWE and from 21 to 25 September at the HKCEC. It will feature in the two venues with over 3,500 exhibitors from 46 countries and regions in 130,000 square metres of exhibition space.

“The 30th anniversary of the Fair is an important milestone. The steady increase in the numbers of exhibitors and buyers thoroughly reflects their support for and recognition of our efforts as the jewellery industry’s premier sourcing and networking event. The new record in exhibitor number shows more and more jewellers worldwide are focusing on the September Fair and the Asian jewellery market.” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs, UBM Asia Ltd.

Ms Lau noted that top businesses have booked even larger exhibition spaces this year “to be at the heart of the action.” “Their enthusiasm for the event is proof of the industry’s confidence in the strength of the Asian market and in UBM Asia’s professionalism as fair organiser,” she added.

The Fair will unveil at this edition Poland Pavilion, bringing to 22 the total number of group pavilions at the show. The rest are: Antwerp, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA).

AWE to House Asia’s Largest Gemstone Marketplace

The Fair at Asia-World Expo (AWE) features around 1,600 exhibitors from the globe. They will exhibit jewellery raw materials, including loose diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and packaging, tools & equipment in Halls 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 – a combined 60,000 square metres of exhibition space.

-       The Diamond Pavilion is certainly the Fair’s top draw. Occupying more than 16,000 square metres of exhibition space at AWE, the Diamond Pavilion is the largest diamond pavilion in any jewellery show. The pavilion houses over 400 diamond companies from the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, the Israel Diamond Institute, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India(GJEPC) and the United States.

-       In Hall 9 of AWE, the Fine Gem Pavilion houses fine gemstones, diamonds and pearls from more than 50 esteemed suppliers who have made utmost quality as their philosophy. The pavilion’s distinct look makes the Fine Gem Pavilion a standout at AWE.

-       Hall 1 at AWE is dedicated to pearl exhibits. A must-visit for pearl traders and connoisseurs, the Pearl Pavilion offers a fine selection of all types of pearls in a wide range of colours, shapes and sizes. Exhibits include South Sea pearls, Tahitian, akoya and freshwater pearls from pearl sources such as mainland China, Japan, the Philippines and Tahiti.

-       The Gemstone Pavilion is the ultimate marketplace where buyers can source a wide array of rough and polished gemstones from around the world. Around 700 local and overseas gemstone suppliers will exhibit rough and polished gemstones in a range of qualities and prices.

Mega Marketplace for Fine Finished Jewellery at HKCEC

The Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre is dedicated to showcasing fine finished jewellery with gemstones, diamonds, pearls, jade and jadeite. Around 1,900 fine jewellery exhibitors from around the world will occupy the various themed halls.

-       The spectacular Hong Kong Premier Pavilion will showcase the top-notch craftsmanship and exceptional creativity of 40 Hong Kong avant-garde jewellers. The pavilion is the perfect stage that shows why Hong Kong’s jewellery industry is at the top of its game.

-       True to its name, the International Premier Pavilion features a stellar lineup of over 65 prominent jewellery companies from around the world and their latest cutting-edge designs. Located in Halls 3B & 3C of HKCEC, this pavilion is an exclusive podium to see the global trends and inspirations in luxury jewellery.

-       Located at the Grand Hall of HKCEC, the Fine Design Pavilion showcases a tantalising spread of the world’s finest jewellery masterpieces from over 70 internationally renowned jewellers. Against the sophisticated and elegant backdrop of the Grand Hall, jewellery traders and connoisseurs will find exquisite jewellery set with rare diamonds, luxurious gemstones and lustrous pearls, bejewelled watches, invaluable antique and estate jewellery, and other elegant timepieces.
